FGCAD is a second level Master Program, activated by the Department of Humanities – Languages, Mediation, History, Letters, Philosophy of the University of Macerata.

Now in its 16th edition, it trains polyvalent professionals capable of satisfying all the needs of public administrations and businesses in terms of innovation, digitization and dematerialisation, redesign of processes, training, management and conservation of documents and digital archives, and to carry out roles specified below:

Responsible for records
– Responsible for document management
– Head of digital curatorship
– Responsible for digital preservation
– Head of the archival function of conservation at the “Accredited Conservatories”

Teaching is carried out in Italian through face-to-face lectures and seminars (84 hours) and lessons accessible remotely with the e-learning platform of the University of Macerata (216 hours). 

The face-to-face activities will take place in premises and classrooms equipped in compliance with the safety requirements imposed for the COVID emergency and with the rules adopted by the University of Macerata for teaching. If, due to exceptional events, the coronavirus emergency arises, it is not possible to carry out the lessons in presence in the designated locations, these will be held electronically with the technological platforms of the University of Macerata, the same didactic contents and reshaping the programming time to facilitate attendance and make the most of the potential of the platforms used.

Each student is required to carry out an internship of n. 300 hours in public administrations or companies, in the manner defined by the Internship Office of the University of Macerata. Internships in smart working and in presence outside the University are authorized in entities that have taken all the necessary measures to minimize the risk of proximity and aggregation.

ANAI Associazione Nazionale Archivistica Italiana and AgID Agency for Digital Italy are historical partners of the Master: they offer free sponsorship and collaboration for the eventual presentation of case studies, project work and digitization initiatives.
